The PRINCE2® certification scheme has two main levels, Foundation and Practitioner. 

FOUNDATION

Description of the course:

PRINCE2 Foundation course aims to ensure that a candidate could act as an informed member and contributor of a project management team using the PRINCE2 method, within an environment supporting PRINCE2. To this end they need to show they understand the principles and terminology of the method

Objectives

  • Understand how the PRINCE2 principles underpin the PRINCE2 method
  • Understand the PRINCE2 themes and how they are applied throughout the project
  • Understand the PRINCE2 processes and how they are carried out throughout the project
  • Pass the PRINCE2 Foundation exam

Course Format & exam pass marks

  • 1 hour
  • 60 questions
  • Objective Test Questions
  • 55% pass mark
  • Closed book
  • Prerequisites: It is desirable but not essential that participants have some experience of working on projects.

Course length:

3 days training, exam taken on the last day (preparation and sitting the exam). The course can be also delivered in virtual mode, respecting the standard course length.

During the Course, there will be Exercises and homework assigned to be completed prior to the exam.

PRACTITIONER

Description of the course:

PRINCE2 Practitioner certification is for anyone who is managing projects as part of their role. This could be as part of a formal project management function or a role in which project management is an inherent part of day to day work. The purpose of the Practitioner certification is to confirm whether you have sufficient understanding of how to apply and tailor the method in a range of different project environments and scenarios.

  • Apply the PRINCE2 principles in context
  • Apply and tailor relevant aspects of PRINCE2 themes in context
  • Apply (and tailor) relevant aspects of PRINCE2 processes in context
  • Pass the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam

Course Format & exam pass marks

  • 2.5 hour
  • Objective Test Questions
  • 68 questions
  • 68 possible marks
  • Approximately 55% pass mark
  • Open book (PRINCE2 manual only)
  • Prerequisites: Project Management experience and experience working in project teams. if you already hold a PMI, IPMA or CAPM certificate, they can be used as a substitute for the PRINCE2 Foundation exam. This means you can directly access to the Practitioner examination.

The Prince2 Combi course is divided in two sessions: 3 days Prince2 Foundation and 2 days Prince 2 Practitioner course.
